Having come very close to perfecting the first game before lending it to a friend I am a fan of the series, so here are my thought’s thus far…įollowing on from its predecessor the setting for Dead Space 2 is a creepy, claustrophobic metropolis that is almost as horrifying and skin-crawlingly ugly as the monsters that stalk the corridors. But more on that later.Īs of this writing I’m nearing on five hours in, having just found the Peng statue, which marked the point I said I would cut off from gameplay and write this post. Our hero has been kept there, drugged and delirious, by unknown powers for the information he carries in his brain.Īnd trust me the opening to this game is one you won’t forget anytime soon.

Published in 2011 by EA and developed by Visceral Games DS2 is the sequel to the massively popular 3rd-person horror game of Dead Space, set three years after the first game with an outbreak of the hellish deamon-things known only as Necropmorphs on the Titan based facility of Sprawl.

It’s been a long time since I’ve stepped into the huge, gore soaked boots of Engineer Isaac Clarke, and in the time between games those boots have become even bloodier, and just a little bit insane.
